Day 9- 31 Days of Halloween: Nevermore Bookmark

Hi all! Today on Day 9 of 31 Days, I figured I needed to make a bookmark to go along with my book from yesterday. Although I didn't make it to match, I'll still use it in there and any other book that I think needs to be marked.

So I used our Quoth The Raven set from Smeared Ink. It's a pretty straight forward design that was stamped with the ravens and two sayings from the set using black and brown ink. I used distress ink to darken the bookmark, and then burned the right edge of it.

After matting on black cardstock, I covered the whole thing with UTEE several times, and then stuck it in the freezer and cracked it. The final touches were some temporary tattoo spiders, and the dyed cheesecloth tie at the top.

Super easy and quick, but still pretty neat looking I think. I didn't want to add any embellishments because I still want it to sit pretty flat in a book, so I am calling this project done! Have fun today hopping through the Wicked Blogs, and swing by later if you have the chance because I have a non-stamped Halloween project to share with you just for fun.
