12 Days of Creepmas Prizes

Hello everyone, today I have the winners from our last few days of 12 Days of Creepmas, as well as the Grand Prize winner. I'm sure you noticed that I didn't get my last few posts up, my whole household was hit by the flu and it really, really sucked... especially after being sick just a few weeks before with food poisoning. I guess our immune systems were just blown, but we're finally on the mend which is good. Anyways, I have the prize winners from Day 9 and Day 12 for our Smeared Ink Days. Thank you all for hanging in there for the rest of the hop, as we know this is one of the busiest times of the year.

For Day 9 we gave away a winner's choice of 1 set of Smeared Ink rubber, and the winners are:

Jolly Blogger: Vicky
Merry Hopper: Maureen

Congrats ladies! Please select your set and email us at smearedinkstamps@gmail.com and let us know.

For Day 12, which didn't get posted, we were offering up a Smeared Ink tee featuring our Skull and Roses design. You can see the different color choices below, which are: Black, Red, Pink, Navy, Caribbean Blue, Heather, Green, Green Camo, B&W Camo, or Pink Camo. The winners will choose their color and their size (S,M,L,XL,2XL). Since there were no comments on my blog, we went ahead and counted all Merry Hopper comments for that day as well as all the Jolly Bloggers who posted Smeared Ink projects. The winners are:

12 Days of Creepmas 2013 -Day 9: Santa is Coming

Welcome back to 12 Days of Creepmas sponsored by the Smeared and Smudged Forum. If this is your first visit, please go to this post for all of the info about the hop and prizes.

Today is another Smeared Ink day for our little Creepmas hop, which means that any Jolly Blogger who uses Smeared Ink stamps exclusively will be entered to win our prize. Merry Hoppers can also be entered by leaving a comment on this post and letting me know what you think of the hop so far! We've got just a few more posts to go, and we'd love to hear all about what you've enjoyed from the hop this year.

The prize for today's Smeared Ink day is: 1 Rubber Set of winner's choice from Smeared Ink. Winners will receive a deeply etched 8 1/2" x 11" sheet. Below are a few examples of the rubber sets we have to choose from, you can see most of them here, as well as our newest featured sets here.

Please be aware that we will need to order in the set that the winners choose, so it will be shipped out mid to late January, but isn't it worth it? :) For those of you who are interested in getting your hands on your own rubber, you can find all of the information on our Smeared Ink Rubber Club here.

So, in addition to a fabulous prize for today, I also have some news to share. Just in case you missed the plethora of posts going around yesterday on our Facebook pages and here on my blog, Smeared Ink is having a Design Team Call! This is your chance to be a part of our elite SI team, so if you want all the details please visit this post. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2013.

Okay, I think that's all the blabbing I have for today, now I'll share my project so you can get to hopping.

On The Ninth Day of Creepmas, My True Love Gave To Me:
A Deranged Santa Lurking Where No Eye Can See!

For my simple digi card today I used Beyond from Smeared Ink, as well as the Zombie Killa digi paper pack. I added in red glitter, scratches, and lots of blood splatters to really get my point across. I don't know why I've been drawn to black white and red this year, but it works. You can see "Santa's" creepy hands coming up behind this poor girl, she better watch out!

I hope you all like it. Now it's time for you to hop along, and don't forget to leave your comment for a chance to win today's awesome prize! Have a great day!

My title says it all,... OOOoooops! I completely forgot to post Day 8 of 12 Days of Creepmas, and I can only blame the eggnog (or lack thereof). But seriously, this weekend was utterly hectic and I have no excuse except my absentmindedness. I didn't even make a project :(

I apologize to our Jolly Bloggers who worked so hard at getting their posts up, as well as our Merry Bloggers who make the rounds each day. I hope you were able to find your way through without me and still see amazing inspiration from our bloggers.

I do need to announce our winners from Day 7's Smeared Ink day. These lucky gals get a $15 digi credit to use in our shop.

Jolly Blogger: Kat
Merry Hopper: Wiola

Please email us at smearedinkstamps@gmail.com to claim your prize!

Welcome back to 12 Days of Creepmas sponsored by the Smeared and Smudged Forum. If this is your first visit, please go to this post for all of the info about the hop and prizes.

There was a little confusion on my part on Day 6, it was not supposed to be a Smeared Ink day; however since I announced it and you left comments, I'll be drawing for that prize anyways :) I went ahead and entered all the Jolly Bloggers, as well as all the Merry Hoppers who told me their fave paper pack. The winners by random number are:

Jolly Blogger: Glittery Katie
Merry Hopper: Robyn (RedDogGirl)

Please email me at smearedinkstamps@gmail.com and let me know which two digi paper packs you would like. Congrats!

Now on to today, which is in fact the real Smeared Ink day! Up for grabs is another $15 credit in our shop.

Winner will receive a $15 digi credit to use in our shop

The Jolly Bloggers who post a project featuring Smeared Ink stamps will be entered, as well as any Merry Hopper who tells me what they want for Christmas in their comment. Check back on Sunday December 15 for the winner announcement.

Today for my project I have an oldie but a goodie.

On The Seventh Day of Creepmas, My True Love Gave To Me:
A Grumpie Elf, You Might Want to Let Him Be!

I made this card a while ago, but I don't remember ever sharing it. Since I have friends coming into town today, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use it as my project. It features one of our Occasions Grumpies, available as a past offering in our Smeared Ink Rubber Club. Hope you like it!

Now off you go to hop through the other Jolly Blogger projects, have fun and enjoy the rest of your day!

Good Luck!

Here is my project for today.

On The Sixth Day of Creepmas, My True Love Gave To Me:
A Cold-Hearted Jumping Little Buddy!

I started with an x-ray of two frogs and built my project around that. I've used digi paper from our newest paper pack called Poe Boy, which is available in our shop, as well as a stamp from our Quoth The Raven set, available through Smeared Ink's Rubber Club. As you can see, this little Christmas froggy has a snowflake heart. Ah, the things my mind thinks up for Creepmas, sometimes I just don't know :)

I hope you enjoy your day of hopping today (blog roll is in my sidebar), and don't forget to leave your comment to be entered into today's drawing! Have a great day!

The paper pack is called "Icy" and features some cool winter textures. This project will also be a component in a larger project later on. I hope you like it!

For my card I used an image from our new Fringe set, it is Fringe 6, as well as some background paper from our Caught In My Web digital paper pack. The other background I made spur of the moment.

12 Days of Creepmas- Day 3

Welcome to day three! This post is going to be short and sweet, as my stomach bug has gotten worse rather than better. Ugh, I'd much rather have the flu I think, although I don't want to jinx myself. Hopefully it turns for the better today and I can get a project done for day 4...

There is some good news though, I do have the winners for Day 2's Smeared Ink prize! By random #, our winners of the Steampunk Christmas digi set are:

Jolly Blogger: Donna
Merry Hopper: Maureen S

Congrats gals, please email smearedinkstamps@gmail.com to claim.

I hope everyone enjoys the hop today; you can find the blog roll in my sidebar, and hopefully I'll be back in full swing with a project for Day 4.

12 Days of Creepmas 2013- Day 2: All I Want

Welcome back to 12 Days of Creepmas sponsored by the Smeared and Smudged Forum. If this is your first visit, please go to this post for all of the info about the hop and prizes.

Today is a Smeared Ink day, which means we have challenged our Jolly Bloggers to make projects featuring only Smeared Ink stamps. If they do, they will be eligible to win this awesome digi set from Smeared Ink!

Steampunk Christmas

As a hopper, you also have the chance to win this set. All you have to do is tell me in your comment how you would use the set. On Thursday Dec 5, we will choose our winning Jolly Blogger and our winning hopper by random number and announce it here. Good Luck!

Now on to my project for the day. This one is simple and not at all what I had planned, but I've come down with a horrible stomach bug and didn't have the strength to make anything else.

On The Second Day of Creepmas, My True Love Gave To Me:
A Zombie Tag That Makes Me Want To Flee!

*click for larger view

Like I said, very simple. But I started out by coloring my Zombie Pinup-Tease digi image with prismacolor pencils. Then I scanned her in to the computer, along with my deco papers. I used photoshop to layer my papers and zombie, add the words, and the snow and snowflakes. Now it's all ready for me to print out and hang.

So, hopefully I'll have something more elaborate for you next time. Be sure to join us on Dec 5 for our Day 3. For now, off you go to the other Jolly Bloggers, the links are in my sidebar. Enjoy!

12 Days of Creepmas 2013- Day 1: Toxic Tree Topper

Hello everyone! So glad to have you visit my blog today and join me as I kick off the 12 Days of Creepmas 2013 festivities! Today is the first day of 12 Days of Creepmas hosted by the Smeared and Smudged Forum. Just in case you don't know what this is all about, I'll give you a quick run-down.

12 Days of Creepmas started a few years back as a way for us Halloween lovers to extend the creepy season a bit, and what better way than to combine it with another of our fave holidays: Christmas! This is definitely not going to be your typical Christmas themed project share, so be prepared to see some projects that really push the envelope and present Christmas in a creative, quirky, and dare I say, sometimes morbid way. Consider this your forewarning and please be respectful when leaving comments; there is a time and place for traditional Christmas but this hop is not it, and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.

We've challenged our Jolly Bloggers to create stamped projects that really fit with a Creepmas theme, and they will be posting these project every other day up until Dec 23 and they must have their posts up by 9 a.m. PST. If they complete all 12 days of projects, each Jolly Blogger will be entered into the grand prize drawing at the end of the hop. The winner will receive a $100 digi shopping spree from Smeared Ink!

But wait, as a hopper you also have the chance to win! If you complete all 12 days of hopping by commenting on each and every blog, you will be entered into the grand prize drawing as well. In order to qualify, you must leave a comment on EACH participating blog every scheduled day.Your comment should be about the project or something related (ie-no "Here's my comment for today" or "I'm here!"...these types of comments won't count!) and cannot be a copy/paste comment. Your comments also must be posted before the next project, so if you are commenting on today's projects, you will need to comment before 9 a.m. PST on Dec 3.

Here are the dates for this year's hop:
Sunday December 1st
Tuesday December 3rd (Smeared Ink Day)
Thursday December 5th
Saturday December 7th (Smeared Ink Day)
Monday December 9th
Wednesday December 11th
Friday December 13th (Smeared Ink Day)
Sunday December 15th
Tuesday December 17th (Smeared Ink Day)
Thursday December 19th
Saturday December 21st
Monday December 23rd (Smeared Ink Day)

Now, you may be asking yourself what a Smeared Ink day is...these are the days we have challenged our Jolly Bloggers to use only Smeared Ink stamps. If they do, they will be entered to win an extra prize from us. As a hopper, you will also get the opportunity to win something on Smeared Ink days, so be sure to come to this blog to find out all the details on each of those days (and also to see my projects pretty please!)

I think that about covers it. You will always be able to find the blog roll in my sidebar, and just for good measure I will also put it at the end of this post. Now I'm going to move on to my first project.

On the first day of Creepmas my true love gave to me....
A Toxic Topper To Place Upon My Tree

*click pics to view larger

I decided to make a tree topper that features one of our newest digi sets, Toxic Ballerinas, as well as our 12 Days of Creepmas digi set. You can find both of these in our Smeared Ink shop. I started by sizing and printing the 12 Days images, then cutting, sealing, and distressing the edges of them with scissors. I did the same with some plain watercolor paper that I spray painted silver. I made my topper layers by alternating these with silver screen and metal mesh.

My Ballerina Top was printed normally and reversed lots of times, fussy cut and layered. (If you'd like to see a great way to do this, visit the S&S Forum Mixed Media University, Ike has posted a wonderful tutorial all about Fussy Cuts and Layering). I believe there are a total of 14 layers on the skirt, front and back, and 4 layers on each side of her body and face, plus a few side layers on the skirt.

Here are some other views with different lighting, just for fun.

I hope you like her, I'll be adding her to the top of my Creepmas tree and I'll show you the tree at the end of the hop.

Now it's time for you to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers to see what they have in store for you for Day 1. Hope you enjoy hopping, and I'll see you back here on Dec 3. Have a great day!
