It's Day 6 already? This week has flown by for me! Welcome back to 31 Days of Halloween on Smeared and Smudged. If this is your first visit, please take a look at this post for all the rules and regs.
Today we have another fabulous sponsor joining us in our plethora of giveaways!
Black Dragon is one of our very own, whose jewelry making skills never cease to amaze! She has so very generously donated one piece of jewelry of the winners choice! How can you win? Well, click on Black Dragon's banner above to go to her shop page. Pick your favorite piece and then send an email telling us which one it is. We will draw the winner from the emails by random # and they will receive the piece that they picked! Easy!
Also, don't forget to enter to win the Rick St Dennis digi! Let's have the same criteria, shall we? Go to Rick's shop and choose your favorite image, then email us and tell us what it is! The winner will get the amazing digi set that's up for grabs.
Now, I'd like to share with you my project for today. I must warn you, it's super kiddie!!! I made a hair barrette for my daughter, and now the other ones want one as well. I do think this project could be adapted to be a little less kiddie though in the future, and I can't wait to play around with it.
I started by crocheting a 3-layer flower. Then I printed out my Round Pumpkin image from Smeared Ink's The Patch digi set onto printable fabric. I attached it to the middle of my flower and sewed around it. Then I outline with black glitter glue, a step I will probably avoid in the future because it turned out kinda wonky against the crochet. The final step was to add the long sequin ribbon and attach my barrette to the back. Super easy but very cute!
This project goes perfectly with our challenge over on the Smudgy Antics Blog this week: Pick a Pumpkin or Two. Won't you come join us? Hope it gives you some ideas! Now hop on through the Wicked Blogs, listed in my sidebar, and have fun!
