Hello everyone, welcome to our second annual Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop! At the
Smeared and Smudged Forum we are always very appreciative of our cranial art, but the folks at
Skull A Day introduced us to this day of celebration and we are thrilled to participate in our own little way. We have quite a doozy in store for you today, as we have forty participants just giddy about sharing their amazing skull themed projects with you. I personally can't wait to show you mine, but first I just want to let you know about a few things.
First, we have some pretty awesome sponsors for today's blog hop and they will be scattered throughout, so be sure to visit all of the blogs. Each of the giveaways will have it's own criteria for winning, so read carefully and follow all the instructions given to enter.
Second, each blog will have the blog roll listed so it should be pretty easy for you to find your way through this enormous hop, but in case you get lost along the way, you can always come back here and find the participant list in my sidebar.

Finally, I have a prize and a sale to tell you about!
Today, Smeared Ink is offering a $50 shopping spree as the first blog hop prize. In order to qualify for this prize drawing, you must comment on each one of the participating blogs by this Wednesday night at midnight (Pacific Time). Thursday morning we will tally the comments and draw for the winner using random.org, and the winner will be posted here. We know this won't be hard because you will just have oodles of things to say after you see all the awesomesauce.
Also, in honor of Skull Appreciation, Smeared Ink is having a 25% off sale on ALL digi stamps in our
shop. You can get any of your fave digis at a discount for the whole week. The sale starts today and ends next Monday.
Okay, so now that all the housekeeping is out of the way, I'd like to share my project with you. I made a 16x12 canvas called Early Winter. There are too many steps to really get into alot of detail about the process, but some of the materials used on it are tons of paint, plaster, sticks (yes, sticks), tissue paper, glitter, paper, tiny metal washers, and digi stamps from Smeared Ink's Heart Wings set.

Some of you may think this looks pretty creepy, but I REALLY toned it down from my original plan and it kinda became a softer, more pretty piece that still fits my style.
So now that you have seen my project, have fun visiting all of the blogs on our hop list. Don't forget to comment on each one on this list to qualify for our Smeared Ink shopping spree drawing, and read carefully to find out how to win the other sponsor prizes. Above all, have fun today celebrating Skull Appreciation and thank you for hopping with us!
