Today I am participating in the monthly Bombshell Stamps Hop. It's been such a long time since I've been able to do anything with the Bombshell gals, so I thought it was about time I go over to their forum and sign up. The challenge for this month's hop was a color challenge. We were given this wonderful pallette of five colors from which we had to choose at least three to use in our project.
I have to tell you my colors are a little off. I looked at the colors, picked the top four, then went off to the other room to create. When I got back I realized that one of my colors is more turquoise-y than it should have been. But, I'm still close so I think it counts. Here's my card:
I used the Growing Hearts stamp set, which is one of my faves. I colored my image with watercolors. The background of the card is done with several layers of paint and Kona Krackle. My image is three layers done up on pop dots.

I hand made the flowers, and the leaves are scraps of fabric.
I had alot of fun making this card although it's not exactly correct on the colors. It was a real challenge for me not to add any black in to the card, and the style of it really made me step out of my comfort zone. I hope you enjoyed taking a look.
The hop list is below and I think you will really enjoy visiting all of the fabulous talent from the Bombshell Forum! Also, don't forget Smudgefest starts Monday and I'll be linking up to the challenges here when I share my projects. (If you don't know what Smudgefest is, please come check it out! It will be a blast!)
Have an awesome day!

Wow! This is SO pretty! I love your flowers, and your background is wonderful! I like your layering too. Your colors didn't have to be exact, and yours are definatly close enough! Great job, thanks for joining in on the hop!
ReplyDeleteHi Terra! Gor-Juss!!! The colors look spot-on to me. Love those fab vintage-y looking flowers and all of those crazy cool distressed edges. Hmmm, we weren't suppose to use black?! Ugh! I flubbed that one...LOL! I think of Kraft and black as being freebies, but I guess they're not ;D Wonderful card! Hugz, Cheryl
